If your boss grew up in the 70s and you grew up in the 90s, you’re likely struggling with small talk. Throw a few of these his way and watch the respect (and raises) cascade down:
Floppy disks. Look ‘em up. They’re the USB drive of the 1970s.
Nixon was President in the 70s – it won’t hurt to learn a quick impression. He’s easy to imitate.
Gas was 36¢ a gallon. Commiserate: “Man! Remember when gas was so cheap? Ah, for the good old days!”
Watch a few episodes of Three’s Company on TV Land. Drop a few Chrissy lines here and there.
Star Wars came out in the 70s. Definitely DO NOT address the 90s prequels as the “original Star Wars movies.”
