Office Style For The Ladies: Accessorize With A Winter Scarf

If your office becomes an icebox during the winter or you have to step outside throughout the workday, it can be a tad tricky to remain professional looking without piling on ridiculous amounts of layers. Remember, puffy coats and boardrooms don’t mix! So to stay warm without looking foolish, throw on our favorite cold weather accessory – the winter scarf!

Now there are lots of ways to tie a winter scarf, but in true RELAXnation style, we’ve gone ahead and compiled our favorites. These styles have been tested to ensure they’ll provide you with maximum warmth while looking stylish to boot!

Basic Knot
A basic knot is our tried and true favorite for many reasons: it’s easy to fashion, keeps your neck warm, your chest covered and won’t interfere with your coat. Plus, it’ll stay in place all day long!

Neck-Wrap
A neck-wrap style uses all of the scarf material to protect your neck from the cold. This method really keeps the heat in, so longer, thinner scarves are optimal to keep you from feeling smothered. Simply tie the scarf around your neck as many times as you can and knot the tail ends at the back of your neck or weave them into the bundled scarf.

Loop The Loop
We love the “loop the loop” method; it will turn a ho-hum winter scarf into something special and make you look chic and fabulous. Plus, it’s downright fun to say.

Long Turtleneck Knot
Don’t let the name deceive you, a long turtleneck knot will give you a modern look even though it sounds like something from bad 80s fashion. It will also keep your neck warm and toasty.
