The clock is ticking down so let’s get straight to the point – a new year is almost here and it’s time to get all celebration plans in order!
There are several necessities you should have on hand for your NYE bash. We’ve compiled our favorite easy and fabulous ideas to get you started. Even if it’s just you and your pets. Seriously, who can resist a cute dog or kitty in a party hat?! Not us.
Everyone loves that person who brings a stack of party hats. Jazz them up by gluing tinsel garland around the base. You can even make your own.
There’s no better decoration to the home or your neck than a good string of gold beads! They’re also super inexpensive so you can buy a ton of them without spending all the cash from Santa.
We’re in major love with this free game from Alice & Lois. It’s a great way to get the party conversation started with questions like: best song of the year, best movie, most embarrassing moment, etc.
Remember our DIY Glittered wine glasses? They make the perfect addition to NYE parties.
New Years-ify your glass with silver & gold glitter. This time, try painting just the stem and/or foot. It only takes a few minutes, the perfect project for procrastinators with a flair for fabulous things (ourselves included).
Want even more glitter? You can even apply it to our wine bottles. Because there can never be enough glitter on NYE.
Champagne is overrated. If you’re sticking with wine, drop in some fruit for a little flair and you’re set for the night.
If Champagne is a must for your New Year, make it a Mimosa bar by providing a variety of juice mixers.
We’re all guilty of snapping a zillion photos on NYE, so why not flair? These New Years Eve Photo Booth Free Printables from Kristen Duke are the cutest!
Added bonus! We’ve got two New Years Wine Tags for you. Download and print them for free, put one on a bottle for the prefect NYE party hostess gift. Or gift for anyone you accidentally left off your holiday list. How can they resist a Happy New Year gift? They can’t.
Big celebrations can take a lot out of you. We’ve all been there. Get ahead of a headache by drinking lots and lots of water. We love the trick of drinking a glass between each alcoholic beverage to help flush that party right out!
If you’re leaving your house, make arrangements to get home before you even step out the door. Have someone who isn’t going to be drinking lined up to pick you up, have a car service scheduled, or make plans to have a slumber party at the party spot. Sleep and water will be your best friend. That, and greasy food.
Cheers and Happy New Year, RELAXnation!
P.S. We’ve compiled all these ideas and several more on our New Year Celebrations Pinterest board. Now you’re all set for easy pinning and planning. Enjoy!
